a 5Rhythms® Lab with Kate Shela
January 11-13, 2019 in Vancouver, BC
«Come to the edge.
It’s too high!
Come to the edge!
And they came, and we pushed and they flew.»
— Christopher Logue
Three days of leaping into the unknown.
I won’t say anymore —
or it wouldn’t be unknown.
The 5Rhythms practice is rooted in the principle that if you put the body in motion you will transform. Movement is the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages and age groups to convert struggle into art, art into awareness and awareness into action.
If you are a newcomer to this movement modality please understand this is a practice — I have «practiced» this work for 25 years and I am still in the landscape of discovery. Each workshop is uniquely different, some moments you may fly blissfully into trance states and gain perspective, in others, you may wade through the molasses of your human condition. The practice — is to embody and move with all of it.
This is a 5Rhythms WAVES workshop. We recommend some 5Rhythms experience or with other somatic or conscious movement practices.
