— ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE AND OPPORTUNITIES
An overall focus on experiential learning outside that focuses on accessibility to internships, co-op opportunities and research opportunities through expansion of resources at UBC.
— STUDENT LIFE AND CAMPUS EXPERIENCE
Sexual Misconduct Policy
— Supporting student organizations to better support their peers while handling disclosures of sexual misconduct.
— Creating referential resources with consultation from pertinent resources groups on campus and in the greater Vancouver Area.
Mental Health and Wellness
— Taking a proactive approach to mental wellness on campus through events like THRIVE and a long term expansion of available resources to address the expanding student population.
— Creating dialogue with pertinent campus groups that allow us as a community to more effectively address specific concerns from students whose experiences may not reflect the experiences that the vast majority of us have.
— ADVOCACY INFRASTRUCTURE
— Consultation that goes beyond the Academic Experience Survey — creating complementary means of consultation alongside hard line data, through town-halls or periodic meetings with interest groups during policy creation or even the creation of advisory committees.
— To improve the communication between students and the AMS about the impact and ramifications of the advocacy undertaken by the AMS.
